Thinus and Ronels Top floor roof cover on!

The upper floor roof cover has been supplied and install. Since our last post we have had good progress with a number of milestones been achieved. The upper floor brickwork was completed a couple of weeks ago. The front facade timber stud work was installed and anchored to the brickwork and concrete slab and ready for the timber frame. The timber roof structure was pitched and installed. The colorbond gutters, 50mm anticon insulation and colorbond roof cover was then installed and look great. Everyone stops now for a few weeks over the Christmas and New Years period. It is a great time of year for everyone to enjoy some quality time with their family and loved ones. Indian Ocean Homes would like to thank our valued Contractors and Supplies for their quality workmanship and products supplied and installed over the past 12 months and look forward to a successful 2018. Thinus and Ronel upper floor slab done!

Thinus and Ronel home is progressing well since our last post.The ground floor brickwork has been completed. The upper floor formwork was installed, so that the steel reinforcement and fixing was able to be put into position. All electrical, plumbing and Vacuum system pipes and services were installed. The safety rail and ladder was put into position ready for the concretors. The upper floor concrete slab and stairs case was poured and installed and will sit there and cure for 3 weeks, including some additional water ponding on the slab to help with the curing in this warmer weather. The formwork will be stripped in a weeks time with the hoist and scaffold booked in to be put in place just before the bricklayer starts back in a couple of weeks time. Thanks Paul.

I am very proud to announce that Indian Ocean Homes was nominated as a finalist in the 2017 Housing Industry Association Excellence in Service Award for small builder. We would like to thank our wonderful clients who took part in the nomination and selection process through the HIA. This year there was over 630 builders entries into the different categories. This number was a record for the Housing Industry Association. It was a fantastic night at the Crown Ballroom and the HIA events staff did an amazing job. I was also a judge this year with the HIA. It was an honour to work with some amazing building industry people who give up their precious time to judge the different categories. Well done to all entries and congratulations to all the winners and finalist. There are some amazing houses being built and some impressive products and design innovation being used in Perth.

Thinus and Ronel Slab down!

It is always an exciting time when starting a new job….Indian Ocean Homes is proud to share Thinus and Ronel’s Two Storey Custom home building process with you. The site works and compaction were completed last week. The concrete footings for the home and boundary screen walls were installed also. The plumbing, electrical, ducted vacuum system prelay services were installed. The concrete slab and mesh was installed at the start of this week. The mild weather and occasional rain is perfect for the concrete slab curing process for the next week. Storm-water tanks and plumbing drains are booked in for the end of next week, with the brick load happening the week after. Thanks Paul

Thank you to all of our amazing contractors for your quality workmanship and to the wonderful support we get from all of our suppliers and their exceptional products. So stoked to share these awards with my partner and beautiful wife Kira Maslen.

It was a great fun day for all. The kids and Mitch had a ball playing a game of backyard cricket in Greg and Monica’s beautiful home built by Indian Ocean Homes.

Indian Ocean Homes are really excited and looking forward to presenting and building Thinus and Ronel’s Contemporary Custom design home. We have really enjoyed getting to know Thinus and Ronel through the design process and working with them to create their dream Custom home. We have completed the design process and have just received back their developers approval. We have started engineering,working drawings and going through their selections process. We will finalised their paperwork over the coming weeks and have contracts ready for June. Once finance and building permit is issued we anticipate starting construction in July. Thanks Paul
